The story of the Rybalchenko family. “When everything in the yard was caught by fire, the first thing I rushed to save was not the things, but the dog from the burning barn.”

Svitlana and her family have lived in this yard since 1978. As long as the house wasn’t destroyed, four people lived there: Svitlana and her husband, their daughter, and Svitlana’s mother.

The woman is a technical worker at the school. Her husband is a military man, currently defending the country in one of the most brutal directions — Bakhmut. Her 22-year-old daughter went abroad searching for shelter and income, and wants to return home, but still has nowhere to go.
Currently, Svitlana and her mother have received temporary shelter from friends, but they will have to leave soon.

During the occupation, Svitlana could not leave, because her mother was sick and bedridden. After the russians hit the house, Svitlana’s mother had to be pulled out from under the rubble.
The Rybalchenko family really wants to return to their land and gather under their own roof.
Thanks to the contribution from OLX Ukraine, we have installed a 4-module NEST-house for the Rybalchenko family
