Since 1992, Volodymyr, his wife, and their son lived in a cozy house in Makarіv, inherited from his parents. They left the town on the 7th of March and their son stayed and joined the Territorial Defence Forces. Two days later, the shell hit the house and it started burning.

There was no one in the house at that time, even all the cattle survived because the barn was open. 

In the spring, the family planned to expand the kitchen and had already purchased materials. However, they’ve changed their plans completely right now. Volodymyr’s wife frankly said that it is a little scary to start building a house from scratch at their age, but they still want to live on their land no matter what. 

The family wants to stay in Makariv and be closer to its son, who is defending Ukraine.
