“Everything burned down. No fork or spoon left”. The story of Oksana’s family from Makariv

Oksana, her husband, son with his wife, and daughter left their house in Makariv in early March after a week spent in the cellar. On March 17th, two russian shells hit the house and it was caught by fire.

Oksana shared that it was hard to look at the burnt family yard and the house, which they had just renovated. However, she still believes that somehow they will rebuild it.

When she heard from her grandmother, “The most vital thing is life without war”, Oksana didn’t understand how such a thing is possible in the 21st century. Now the family is eager to rebuild its nest. And to live without war.
