“I was in the 6th grade when my parents started building this house”. The story of the Moiseienko family from Kalynivka

Nadiia and her son live in Kalynivka. On March 9, russian soldiers began driving tanks through the streets of Kalynіvka, so the family united with the other two families and went to Khmelnytskyi.

The family has already returned to the ashes of the family yard and now lives in the tiny cold summer kitchen that is not destroyed.

Nadiia is a senior citizen who keeps a small household: a vegetable garden and poultry. Her son works and helps his mother take care of the household. The son’s fiancée evacuated from Mariupol in April and now lives with the family in Kalynivka.

Nadiia’s parents started building this house when she was in the 6th grade. Her life, memories, a large library, photographs — everything burned down with the house.

When Nadiia came back, she was looking for at least one piece of tableware that is not destroyed, but she never found it.

Our initiative NEST got 96 transactions through the Benevity platform with a total amount of $25,563.

Thanks to every person who decided not to stay apart, we used $20,000 to set up a prefabricated house for this amazing family.
